A definitive answer please

We have been informed on many occasions here, that male posters/ male reviewers only make up a fraction of the escorts business -- perhaps as little as 10% has been mentioned.

If this is all correct, then it seems to me that what is said on the boards about an escort poster or more importantly by the escort is not going to have much affect on her overall business, good bad or indifferent. So, perhaps the girls dont need to be " all sweetness and light" .

As you've said, I too have heard from various sources that the number of punters active on the boards makes up but a tiny fraction of those using the sites (10% might be a high estimate). I was not on the boards for about a year after I first discovered the site and am not a frequent reviewer.

As to being sweetness and light - I think no service provider wants to look bad in front of their clients - and good manners don't hurt anyone, escort or punter alike.

I used the site to find escorts for a hell of a long time before I ever posted on boards or even bothered registering. I did however read reviews from the outset and this did inform my choices to a large extent (though by no means essential)

My theory would be that many punters drift in and out of use of the boards (or even bothering writing reviews)

I seriously doubt the amount of punters reviewing and (to a lesser extent posting) is only 10% total of punters. I feel it is way higher than that (I feel more likely 30 or 40 percent). The larger percent are far more casual punters I'd imagine, with no real need or desire to be part of the "E-I Community"

Personally I take great heart that any girls at all post a bit and let us in to their thoughts and feelings a bit. I like the sense of community and generally friendly bearing this brings on the whole business.

I joined the boards and read reviews shortly after I started seeing escorts. I would suspect if you ever look at the "whos online" section at any time the number of guests far outweighs the number of registered users. Hard to put a figure on it. For me in common with others I enjoy the sense of community and I have been lucky to connect (virtually) with a few escorts and can chat to them occassionally. I know now that my next visit will be with a girl I have been chatting too etc, it increases the sense of connection. I wish I could visit all the girls who I have chatted with but the economy is not good, LOL

I read reviews and I will be honest my reaction to them is as much coloured by my impression of the reviewer from chat etc than the actual content of the review. I hope this makes sense.

I'm not surprised with a low poster to client ratio, I only know a couple of guys here that are from Navan yet there's always a reasonable selection of ladies so there must be sufficient business for them which would not be justified by the couple of guys....

Look at it this way... it must have some impact, otherwise escorts wouldn't bother advertising at all. I do have to say that you seem to have a rather big fixation with the reviews system, not meaning to be rude.

But surely there is a big difference between advertising and posting. There are many girls here, who advertise heavily, have plenty of reviews but dont post at all. ! For arguements sake, lets say it were fact that posting made no difference whatsoever to an escort's business, are you saying that they just wouldnt be bothered to post at all ?

I dont know the answer to that but I suspect that a reasonable number of touring escorts would continue to post. One hears of many boring hours hanging around the incall. At least the boards provide a place where she can read and discuss things that are relevant to herbusiness and also just 'chat' about anything and everything, nothing to do with escorting. I think the girls respond well to it and some of the guys here are masters at 'the banter '.

As to a 'fixation ' with reviews -- I am just sad that in order to stay off the Top Reviewers list , I have to stop submitting reviews which I feel hurts the girls as well as me.

I have to agree, having spoken to a few girls recently the chat and boards can provide much needed company while touring.
