Pimp ring busted in Romania.

I was reading recently in the national paper that the romanian ploice with the help of the garda had busted a pimp ring in romania where it was claimed that they has 15 escorts working for them in Ireland and that they were pulling in 2.4 million per year, is that why so many of our romanian friends have left our shores recently. Does anyone know if these claims are true or not.
