Personally i think the police are sick of the whole sex scam in this country
The amount of time it must take dealing with all the drama, false attacks/false allegations and actual attacks/true complaints
I believe that just as gambling does, sex-for-sale workers bring alot of social ills and trouble to society. As one poster described it, "an outlet for sex offenders"

As per all the comments by previous posters, there are significant dangers that an escort faces in her daily working life.
This problem is compounded by the defintion of a "brothel" in Ireland- which essentially is two or more escorts working together. (Brothels are illegal, while an individual lady exchanging sexual favours for money isn't - at the present time). Clearly there is safety in numbers. E-I has sent letters to TD's of the former government requesting that the law be changed to allow two girls to work together. However, all this fell on deaf ears.
