Did you here the one about the guy complaining to the waiter that the portion of balls he received was considerably smaller than his usual portion to which the waiter replied "the bull doesn't always loose"

It's a great sport, if you've never been you shouldn't comment. It's a skill and a national sport and not just in Spain. I suggest the ones that think it's a one sided affair should try the running of the bulls in Pamplona.

I went to one when I was a kid, walked out after about ten minutes. The bull charges the horses, which only have some loose chainmail to protect them, the picadors (?) retaliate by spearing the bull, then they stick spears into the neck of the bull,(this goes on for ages) until its weak, confused and in pain, then the main matador comes on does a few moves then puts a sword through its neck, the bull eventually collapes and dies and is dragged off by a tractor. Not sport. (Nice to see the bull win)
Come in she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm "

My mum loves watching bullfights. They've been banned in Catalonia, so she's raging.
It's not something I've ever fancied watching. The Matadors or Toreadors (not sure the difference) maybe, but not the cruelty and blood. Seems a shame to see such a magnificent animal killed for entertainment. If you've been brought up with it, then you can get caught up in the excitement and skill etc. Not for me though.

I see where you coming from Lucy but in fairness whatever chance the matador has of coming out alive no chance of the bull coming out alive one sided really I don't like blood sports just my thoughts .
