Loved it too. There was a period where the director ( later to make hill st blues ) always threw a 30 second trippy scene in.

    Always made me laugh

ah no way , you know ,he was a mould breaker , you will never see hollywood cast anyone like him, great actor , but the producers of today will always go for glossy ,buff, teeth perfect, two eyed wooden actors instead of him, i mean in the old days we also had a cripple in a wheelchair as the best cop in town....i loved those shows ,...pub quiz who was the cowboy cop ???

Great actor and a great series. He made that trench coat a collectors item!

Sad loss and may Peter Falk rest in peace. His family said he was suffering from advanced Alzheimers dementia - so in the end it was probably a mercy for him. Colombo will live on in our memories and on re-runs.

You’re totally agree Highway, Columbo was a total classic. Grew up watching those old shows myself. So really funny moments as well. Used to love the way he would go on about “Mrs Columbo” just to wind the suspect up when he was questioning him. Back in the day they had some big starts each week playing the killer.

Yeah great show but just can’t imagine Columbo’s methods been adopted by CSI.

That would be McCloud played by Dennis Weaver who also is no longer with us.
