I'd go for fthe Ipad; if Steve Jobs doesn't have faith in the Flash player then there must be a reason.

I believe the two are in talks. As it is flash is way too resource hungry to work well on smaller devices. If you take for example an Andriod smartphone running flash you will be doing well to get a full day out of the battery, an iPhone not running flash, has no such problems 2-3 days on one charge.

i have an epad Acer android system finding it good fun and many apps to download.. though this my second would advise the android honeycomb system as the first I bought was 2.1 and not as good

I have an iPad and I just love it. Easy to carry and great battery life.
Use it mainly for mail, Internet.
It's also the dogs if your flying for watching movies, music videos and I installed the kindle app for iPad which is great for reading books.
I also use it as an iPod and as a hub for playing music around the house with an airport express I can play all music on whatever speakers I want.
Fuq . Com is great for porn and no need for flash
Anyway I would be lost without it so my advice is get an iPad

That's what I heard, that flash is pretty battery hungry; Jobs also liken it to 'dinosaur' technology from what's in the worrks, or all ready on the market.

You are really talking about two different beasts here Doc. Tablet or Notebook is the real question.
You need to decide this first, before worrying about flash ect...

Now if it's use is primarily for browsing here and emails then a tablet would be my first choice. As already said if you want computing power stick with a Notebook, that being said a lot of Notebooks on the cheaper end of the scale really struggle to do just about anything as they are usually designed for web browsing and not a lot more.

I'm really impressed with the iPad and it really is a pleasure to use.

The only drawback is the lack of flash, but I think flashes days are numbered.
It only affects the YouTube clips in posts here.
As for porn all the redtube and xnxx.com sites work fine.

If it's just for email, why don't you just upgrade your phone to an iphone. Cheaper, gets email and can browse the web. Also a phone and an ipod player.

You could perhaps set some mood music the next time you visit an escort, and wouldn't have to carry something like this around.
