Clarence was a legend in the E- street band. Great saxophonist. He played some great concerts with the boss. I also loved his duo with Jackson Brown.

I had heard on Thursday or Friday that he had been admitted to hospital.

This is my favourite sax solo by the big man

It is a sad loss. RIP Clarence

Jungleland is a masterpiece both in lyrics and music, 12 minutes of class. I have heard it played on a piano and it sounds like a classical piece. Great memories of Slane, RDS, Point etc.

Just saw this news.I knew that he had a stroke last week but didnt know he had died until I saw it here.As a a long time fan of the E Street Band its a sad day for me and he is the second member of the band who has died after original organist Danny Federici.I was at the Boss concert at the RDS in 2009 and the Big Mans sax solos were among the highlights of that concert.RIP Clarence

It was a great concert and the Boss and all of the E-Street Band were in great form.

I have seen them about 5 times and every one was memorable, though the one in 2009 was a little spoiled by some Cork wamker that kept standing on my toes.
