    Default Garda Moratorium

There has been a moratorium placed on recruitment of new Gardai for at least 18 months,
this plus the 2 years taken to train a Garda means we will have no new Gardai for up to
4 years. I presume this will substantially increase the age profile of the existing force.
So this is good news for criminals as soon they will only be chased by auld lads with big
    bellys
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

The same thing is happening here America, but even the most hard up cities find money to fund its police force; if things get too out of hand they can always bring in the Army.

thanks for the laugh, Fitz! why does a neutral country need
an army as large as it's police force?

why are the gardai called such? it's police all around the world.
this is a multicultural country and it's the 21st century.

I wonder how many young girls leaving school that grew up always wanting to be a Garda will find themselves with no other option other than to sell their bodies.
