Default Some reflections on changes to the review system...

Hey all -- been mostly lurking of late ... work, work, work

Anyway, I just wanted to reflect on my experience of the changes to the review system - not a criticism, just my experience of late.

First, I really miss the Trusted Reviewer badges - and not just because I used to have one

It was most helpful, when looking at a page of reviews and not recognising any of the reviewers, to be able to see at a glance who the trusted reviewers were. I always read these first, It was also a great help when an escort has a lot of reviews. I understand that there was a bit of argy-bargy about the criteria (etc.) but this could have been worked out, I think.

Secondly, the practice of deleting previous reviews of a girl when a member writes a new one has never really made sense to me. A review is a snap-shot of one experience with an escort - when a reviewer writes a few reviews of the same girl, it paints a broader picture of the escort and what it is like meeting her. Also, I had always found the first review to be the most informative and detailed - so we are replacing more information with less.

Anyway - like I said, just my tuppence worth. Not having a go at anybody

I agree with what you have to say here and also believe it should be looked at again, by this i mean removing of old reviews

But that is the problem, they were actually deleted initially so no way to reinstate them even if the rule is reversed and before any of the new mods / managers come along and say they weren't I already had this with VJ and after taking a second look she agreed that they were initially completely but of late they were just removed from the profile.

But you can incorporate the old review into the new one , so the record of the old ones still carry forward and are not lost .

To be honest, this is really a case of how reviews look superficially. The whole TR thing has been discussed to death, and I have no more to say on that matter. With regards to the old review being deleted, that's simply a case of playing fair; if a punter regularly sees an escort and submits a review for her everytime, there would just be a crazy amount of reviews listed for one escort which I'm sure other escorts wouldn't appreciate, given that a lot of clients simply count the number of postives rather than reading any of the review content.

I can see (to some extent) putting the old review content in the new review, but where would we draw the line when we start getting pages and pages of review content on one review? What would other clients think if a favourite escort of theirs has a 'diary' of meetings from one particular client? Would all escorts want this, and if some did and some didn't, would the review mods have to have an endless list of escorts that wished for this?

It seems that we are trying to make more and more options available all the time, and in my opinion (not E-I's), we seem to be micro-managing every single area of the site and there is more and more for us to keep watch on by doing so. We can't possibly please everyone with every rule, nor do we expect to - that's being realistic.

At this stage, we can't change this rule.

There was a vote on the trusted reviewers and the majority said they didn't want it. We had to go with whatever the result of the poll was.

I have seen reviewers writing up to eight reviews for the same escort. No new information is given. Sometimes things change. The comparisons between the and now can be written in the new one.

Good to see you posting old buddy and glad to see your busy
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

Totaly agree, first impressions mean the most??? so why delete them makes no sense and the escorts should be able to let other escorts know what customers are good or bad

I agree, but then again, opinions change over time too.

yes opinions change, so if your opinion of an escort changes, shouldnt others see both reviews and why your opinion changed? no?
