    He was an athlete, an ambassador, a poet, a philosopher, a rapper (yes long before Run DMC were given the moniker of a rapper) a politician and a Plaaaayerr!! haha

    Done so much in his life... all from very very humble beginnings and to think he became a boxer because some kid stole his bike... certainly did go on to greatness

    I always liked this guy, too.

    He could get people to scream his name across space, which is pretty amazing given that there is no air in space to carry the sound. Also, his chest is in amazing nick for a 200 year old megalomaniac.

    Rory Gallagher - when Hendrix was coming off stage one night a journalist asked him how it felt to be the best guitarist in the world! His answer -"I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher"
