Don't worry I would have to keep my current avatar.
After all Sweet Cherri always gives me a few extra hugs for that cat!
How could I ever forgo that pleasure?

Very cute, (dogs not bad either)

    Thanks for input.
Time to pack up and go home after a 'hard days work ' and a little bit of E-I in-between

To be perfectly honest, it was stupidity on my part by selecting my current user name.
Had a couple of close calls lately, and if I thought I was going to be as active on this site, I may have selected more wisely.

My request was to transfer my account to a new 'user name', keeping posts and reviews.

Personally I have no interest in having duplicate names, and if push came to shove, will not create a new profile,
but let this one die a slow death!
I would support your stance on this. I would guess that long standing members who contribute to the threads and who support the girls with their business and who have a history of honest reviews are unlikely to want to change their existing username unless there is a very good reason to do so. I doubt whether more than a handful of members fall into this category.

It is a balancing act. A balance between the safety and privacy of a member such as yourself and the potential loss of business to the girls versus the inconvenience and confusion it might cause. I think people in your situation should be the clear winner.

I must say I've been thinking about this all evening. And I've put myself in OPs situation. I really do think that rather than loose a great reviewer and poster. Would it not be possible to help a guy out ?
It wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
And if the community as a whole is happy with it, then no harm is done.

Yes but that is only escort name maybe -- not their member's username. All members are treated equally here Lucy.

The problem also lies in the fact that you can't transfer reviews from one user name to another; on an escort profile, the reviews are moved via the escort client details; it's time consuming (should they have a lot of reviews) but easy enough to do. This doesn't work the same with message board accounts. Even if we could, again it would generate a massive amount of work for me and Nicole anyway. What about all references to the original name in the posts? For newbies, it would just be confusing.

This is not something that is practical to do. In fact, if we allow an escort to change their message board user name for advertising purposes, there is more often than not a charge incurred for the time and effort of changing their names in all of their reviews.

    Go on Sam !
It's not practical, it's more work, it's time consuming...

But wouldn't you hope that the same would be done for you if the tables were turned.

Have to agree with Management here. If everyone was allowed to change profile names then it would be hard to trust reviews etc on the site almost negating the need for the review section

Wow! You guys just keep squeezing, don't you? We are only human!

It's a very nice idea, however, we would be inundated with these requests, nobody would know who each other is, we would have endless, confusing threads trying to make everything clear, so no, I think it's a really bad idea. This keeps things simple.

As for me, I'm not overly keen on the name 'Samlad', but it's my name now and I will have to stick with it. I could ask one of the techies to change it, but that wouldn't be fair. And that's another point, we have to email the techies EVERY time we need to do this; Nicole and I don't have access to do that.
