Good advice, I have to say I am in a similar position and have threatened court proceedings, my punting is not regular and only when the cash allows, my view is that the cost of my punt won't even make a dent in my circumstances, and the experience is what is keeping me from going over the edge so money well spent!

Keep a roof over your heads, the electricity bill paid and food in your stomach, first and foremost! I know as well as any of the lads out there that punting certainly can be addicting, the key is MODERATION, just like avoiding addiction for anything else. If you're punting so much that it gets to the point that you can't financially support yourself for the most basic of human needs, than you're got a problem and should seek help.
