No one looks at Tiger Woods in the same way anymore and look at what that has done for his career....luckily Giggs playing days are all but up now so it won't affect his game that much next season..if he bothers to continue..After this he may call it quits!!

The big difference between Giggs and Best is that Giggs really couldnt have achieved much more in his career (international
football aside). He has had a remarkably long career, but we will never know what Best could have achieved if he had taken
care of himself, he really gave up when he should be entering his peak, we will never know but he probably had the potential
to be the greatest of all time. Its sad really when u look back on what could have been.
Blatant promotion should be outlawed

I suppose if u really want a glaring contrast as to how 2 players will be remembered u will only have to compare Scholes and
Giggs,both having soldiered together. Scholes retired with no fuss and great admiration from fellow players (apparently 5
Barcelona players wanted his shirt). He was very dignified now is on the coaching staff and will be a real role model for the
up and coming players. No matter what Giggs has achieved his reputation is tarnished and i dont think there will be much
support or sympathy coming from his family

What an athlete does in their private life has no impact on my opinion of their sporting achievements. And it shouldnt bother any other fans imho.
