There is a big hill near my house and the car won't go up it, the bike on the snow covered grass was fine. I only have (or should I say had ) a 5 mile commute on salted main roads so it isn't as bad as you would think, just a bit cold

My biggest fear was falling off and sliding into a slushy hard shoulder and waiting for an hour to get a van to recover the bike, at least when you crash in the summer you can get a tan wile you wait

The dark side of the TT was exposed again today with the death of an Irish competitor in the 600cc Supersport race (please DO NOT mention any names here in case he is known to people on this Forum).

This is the third fatality so far this year.

Ar dheis De a Anam - RIP.

Sad sad sad , the 37 mile road course is impossible to make safe , any "off " is potentially lethal , when the average speed is up around 180 kph the impact is colossal. Heros or Madmen ? the IoM has created many widows and orphans over the years .

i don't drive bikes, am not into speed and think it foolish
when people injure themselves for sport. another contestant was

Nobody intends to injure themselves for sport, accidents happen, many happen on public roads and at places of work too. Nobody forces these riders to race, infact they feel privileged to do so. I would love the chance to race at the TT but I don't think I will ever have the chance.
