Ok Alice… in response.

“Alice, Alice, who the fuck is Alice” is a chant commonly shouted during the singing of the very popular song “Living next door to Alice” by a band called Smokie. It’s a joke thing we have here in Ireland. It is not meant to be disrespectful, although if one is named Alice and did not realise this I accept it may sound so.

A “Lasher” is obviously not a recognised term either; it is a cork term for “a very attractive girl”

So please re-read my post and I hope you will find it is nothing but complimentary. You seem to think I have it in for you. I don’t know you, I have never met you, I can only go on the reports I get from my peers, and they are all glowing reports. I can assure you I only have but the utmost respect and goodwill toward you. I felt it a nice gesture to participate in a congratulatory tread on your fantastic achievement. If you found it offensive, I apologise.

I am only hoping that something was lost in translation.
