Queen or The Pistols ?

Just watching a documentary about Queen and The Sex Pistols were mentioned. Now, both are two of my favourite bands but now I'm thinking which were the better band or for the musicians out there, which were more influential ? Ideas lads ?

Watching the same thing. I like Queen now more than then. Was much more of a punk and new wave fan.

Pistols to my mind were infinitely more influential.

But Queen made some great music.

Sex Pistols for me. Yeah they were manufactured like any boy band and Sid Vicious was a talent free drugged up sack of..... Anyhoo, was never that impressed by Queen tbh, fairly over rated imho. (As were the SP, but Queen more so imo.)

Hard to compare the two,almost anthisist of each other. The Pistols and punk were a reaction to that sort of pomp rock. No doubt the Pistols were far more influential.

Queen for me all the way, if only for the sheer volume of excellent songs.

Have to say, I think Queen were by far the better band but the Pistols made a bigger mark on the music industry.

Yeah, I watched that last night too It's on again tonight at 10pm.

I loved the way Freddy said he grabbed Sid Vicious by the lapels and told him to feck off! LOL! Queen definately rock! The Pistols were just a bunch of gobshites that thrashed out of tune notes on a noisy guitar (in my opinion )
