my frend told me that 5 gardai( 3 men and 2 womans) visited her this week on thuesday...she was in the back of jurys hotel in limerick....does somebody knows if the gardai where visiting other places also?

Gardai uncover brothels in Limerick

FOUR brothels have been uncovered by gardai in Limerick over the last week. Investigating officers questioned nine women who were found in the various properties.

All were freed without charge after it was established they had not been held against their will. Three apartments were raided by gardai in Limerick city last Tuesday while another brothel was uncovered in Newcastle West, Co Limerick, last week. Investigations into prostitution in the area are continuing.

I don't think it really makes a difference if you are indepdant or not they will come to your door if they find there is an escort in the area....

Yes, particularly if the laws about 2 women working together were relaxed. On other levels, I am not so sure, however, I don't think it will make things any less safe.

That whole law about 2 women working together out of same apartment constitutes a brothel is a disgrace...

I'm not sure what time that law dates back to, but, did you know that 2 or more prostitutes congregating in a public place is illegal under public order laws !?
Technically, it's illegal to meet another escort in public for a coffee.

That law goes back a good few years now. Did not know that, but am not surprised. I suppose 2 escorts could be 200 metres away from each other and wave to one another, and that'd be illegal too... It's amusing yet completely frightening at the same time how common sense seems to evade politicians who get into government.
