Well at least there is some consolation that is doesn't just apply to making appointments with escorts.

True that. I dunno. It's not exactly difficult to get to an appointment on time/at all, or at least phone well in advance to cancel it or something...

You've got to remember that sometimes you can be waiting on an appointment for a specialist for 18 months and all of a sudden they give you three days notice. The notice for the appointment sometimes arrives the day of or the day after the appointment.
...sometimes people aren't with us anymore because the couldn't get the appointment soon enough, therefore can't cancel.
