I dont think it is coming back. Coincidentally, this place hasnt glitched or slowed down once for me since that went.

    Did I miss something ?
Don't think they can blame thanks button on slowdown. Plenty of vBulletin forums running fine with it.

I don't know why its gone but would it be such a bad thing if it never came back.
I have lived a life of regrets.

Yeah i was away for a bit and i come back and its gone?????? I liked it

Well it does encourage people to write a personal thank you if a positive comment was written about you, instead of the easy thank you.......1 positive!!

But bring it back i say

It wouldn't be that bad, but I like it.
It adds to the forum, one of the biggest problems on forums as you may know is 'posts boosting'. There are users who LOVE to say 'thanks' when ever they can. How can it hurt? Their post count goes up, they have nothing to loose.

There are also users who really like to express their thanks to post but don't like posting a post that looks like they're post boosting.

Then comes the moderators who have to delete people's thank yous so a thread can look readable with out the thank yous thrown around. As sometimes a thread can get messy and hard enough to read without people adding posts of support when a simple thank you will do.

Finally comes the posters of these useful posts. They have no idea how many people really likes their posts if only some people say 'thanks'.

Why does Morpheus spring to mind when I read this...
    Don't discriminate. Hate EVERYONE equally!

As good old Benny once said: "Peace on earth and goodwill to all men and women..... and LDM"

LDM reserves the right to hijack all threads and call everyone a cunt!
