    Possibly Cantona in my opinion.

The 26 year wait was a big monkey on their back and Cantona was instrumental to winning that imo.
After winning that one they never really looked back.

In terms of value for money it would be hard to beat Denis Irwin from Oldham. Cant quite remember how much it was but something tiny anyway.

Very valid points ,and give it a few years and Hernandez will be up there with D.Irwin when it comes to value
Even though it was 625,000 and chicarito was 6,000,000 times change transfer prices are higher these days,
That been said I can see Hernandez been snatched by a big club (like Ronaldo was) in the next few years and as Uniteds financial situation stands they can't really afford to turn down big profit *cough*fucking Glazer*cough*

Roy Keane and i think Ferguson has admitted that in the past. Great player and always committed.

He didn't sign Giggs, he was a youth player. However he has to be the premierships greatest player, also one of the few Utd players who isn't a @#%&
