whilst working as an aid in a mental institution during a work experience gig, the job they gave me was to befriend a patient. This patient I got to know quite well, at first i liked him then trusted him , but my impression of him quickly desended into dislike. The patient in question suffered from an unhealthy desire for attention, so much so the poor man would create multiple personalities. Number 1 personality ..was a scion of sense a father figure, and he would play that character , but then when his posts did not garner the attention which he thrived on he created a nemisis who bismirsched his first character ,he did this in the hope of sucking people in to react to the soap opera his attention seeking ego craved. This floundered , people tired and like all liars they saw through it , then he created the worst personae of all the happy internet couple..??
When he did so all doctors swiftly came to the conclusion ,that medication and therapy does not work, you have to suffocate him of his need for attention.
As a carer your asking how did i deal with him , welll at first i had ,interest , friendship , followed by shock , then anger, ..and apathy..
But now when i see him post i feel sick ,reading the poor attention seeking bastards posts is like been hugged by drunken unwashed vomit covered tramp ..i will not give you his name because he thrives on anything posted , negative, positve, hateful ,its all the same.. you cant insult him , its the reaction that breeds life, to ignore is the only cure
