I happened to mention it was my birthday when on a punt several months ago.
I got a discount.
[Note: I wasn't looking for a discount]

The tenner I saved went some way towards compensating for the £260 I had to pay for getting my car de-clamped afterwards.

I think there's a lesson for us all in there.
Somewhere.
