OK another question, what if the escort reported it as a rape under the pretense that the client had always planned to demand his money back, hence tricking the girl into giving consent?

Really what I'm hoping for is that this prick is reported to the Gardaí and he gets a home visit, even if it's for a caution of threatening behavior it might just sink in that you can't go around going stuff like this

Tricking a person into giving consent does not substantiate rape. However if during intercourse he tells the lady that he wants his money back, and she withdraws consent and he continues with intercourse, then rape occurs from this point on.

A lady reporting a crime must always be truthful, as she may leave herself open to a charge of
'perverting/ attempting to pervert the course of justice'.

The best way to punish these people is to discover what was said or did to get the money back.
For example if he said 'I'm going to kill you if you don't give me that money', then he has committed an offence of 'threats to kill', which is an arrestable offence in it's own right.
At the very least a house visit will be made, if not an arrest and an in-depth discussion at the local police station.

Whoever these people are, they will get their just reward in time!

This is why..some girls use the reference system...and ask clients it give details of other escorts they have met in the past...to check that they are kosher...its not foolproof....but its a start...

It has been said before and will be said again, that one of the ways girls can protect themselves is to work in pairs.
This is why it is reprehensible that those responsible for making the law made this method illegal.
Some would say that the reason it was made illegal, was not to punish those that run brothels,
but rather to discourage girls who would work in the escort business.

I wonder if this law would still be in place, if the lawmakers had to experience what an escort has to endure?

This perhaps is one of the problems with our society.

Probably happens, however if it does occur, there are procedures set in place to ensure victims are protected while the alleged offences and offenders are fully investigated.

Just look how the church have come on in recent times.
Used to be the church brushed sexual allegations under the carpet, while now priests are suspended pending a full and thorough investigation!

Not perfect yet, but things are improving.

Reporting any incident is an ordeal, but it must be factual. It would not be advisable for ladies to make up details to increase the possible seriousness of a charge, any evidence given will be used if the case went to court and any falsities would quickly be highlighted, thus undermining the case.
