What about the finances?? yes i agree there will always be nutters out there, but they removed the man with the huge financial muscle capable of funding another 9/11? surely this lessens the likleihood of another huge orchestrated Al Qaeda attack on US soil?....

And pilot training, which was cheaper because they didn't need to learn how to land.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I could careless whether or no' a corporation called 'Americo' is safer because of his death, as a client of Americo my greatest fear is to be gunned down by an unenployed youth. Most 'Americo's' plant operations are located where it is not usual to have over 300 murders per year, so a so-called terrorist organization isn't my greatest fear, jobless youth are.

Wrong question. The real threat to peace and security in the world we live in is the United States. Every single US president since Truman has more blood on his hands than Osama bin Laden. How many civilians were killed in Cambodia and Vietnam as a result of the bombings ordered by Kennedy and Johnson? How many in Chile as a result of the CIA-backed coup in 1973? How many in Central America because of Reagan's policies? Iraq? Afghanistan? We could be here all day.
As long as US foreign policy remains unchanged the US will always have enemies.

It willn't change as long as the Free Market feels the need to plunder the World's resources for the quest for profits. Since no one has attempted a new economic policy things will stay the same no matter who is receiving the finger pointed at them.

It'll make the US and some other places safer from attack for a while, the soldiers took all the intelligence they could and some of that info will no doubt lead to the capture of other terrorists and the stopping of certain plots in progress.

But as others have said, someone else will fill the void and shit will start going downhill again, you can't deter people willing to die for a cause with the threat of death.
