    Exclamation Credit cards...

credit cards are sneaky things, you don't feel like
you're spending the same way as when you have to russle
up the cash. you might buy two pairs of jeans as opposed to
    just one.

i should have a debit card really because i clear the balance each
month. i need it for online purchases including flights etc. i paid them
a lot last time and now have a bill for nearly €700. at first i thought some of
that must be from the previous month and they hadn't got the payment, but alas,
they don't make mistakes-i was spending away last month on fairly boring yet essential
stuff. so now i have to russle up the cash.

I used 3V for a while but I found that their short "use by" date made them fairly pricey if you haven't spent all of your top-up.
I've changed to O2 money and, while you pay € 5 for the card initially I think it's cheaper in the long run as your credit does not "expire" or attract charges for 15 months after your last transaction. Unlike 3V the O2 money card can be used in stores and also to withdraw cash from an ATM, although the latter does incur a charge.
