Default Sick of hearing about the Royal Wedding

I was just wondering if anyone is sick and tired of hearing about it?

In my opinion it will just be another day nothing special. All this talk about people having house parties for it is utterly stupid.

Stevo, if you were the cynical type, what more could a country want to deflect attention from the recession and your country going down the pan, than a lovely street party celebrating the marriage of an inbred aristocrat to a mere commoner. Sigh!

Yeah, it does get kind of repetitive after a while. Every newspaper & TV news show is full of it.
Still, we're getting a day off work for it, so not all bad. Another long weekend ahead! Friday I think will either be spent in the pub or in the company of a lady from here and Monday to recover
    Decisions, decisions!

The fact that you have to think about which one to choose worries me

To hell with it, start the day off with a visit about lunchtime then find a pub and consume several pints of Guinness
    Planning done!

You started a thread about it. Irony.

I can't get enough of it; I'm upset at myself for not being in London for it! I've met plenty of people who don't think the wedding is a big deal, a striking departure from the last royal wedding of this size and significance; it makes your realize just how cynical and sad society has become in the last 30 years

I'm sick to death of hearing about it. And I have literally had 3 different letting agencies knock my door asking if I will let my property for that weekend. I now have a sign on the door saying "Not Renting".

I fully refuse to be in London for the actual day so heading out to the country and planning on spending the day watching House re runs under a blanket eating cheese

Why would anybody rent an appartment or stay in an hotel? The fun can be had by camping outside-I'm kicking myself. Ever stood in line overnight to get tickets to a big concert? It's fucking FUN
