Trolls- the motive?

I must admit to being flummoxed by trolls. If I was banned from a forum, I would have no interest in returning, equally if I hated a forum, I would not post there nor read it. What is the point? Has anyone got a clue what drives these malicious little keyboard gremlins? I am genuinely curious.

I think in some way Lucy they are pretty sad miserable people with no happiness in their own lives so they’ve decided the only joy they get out of their lives is try and make other people feel the same way they do and that’s to try and upset others.

Thats the thing though, I find no enjoyment in upsetting others. If there is joy to be had from it then life is bleak indeed.
