    Question Question

if you have an appoiment, and the person is not there at the hour he said,he doesn't let you know he will be late,do you still wait for him or make another appoiment? i always prefer to wait 10-15 mins to be sure he will come or not.
but sometimes the person comes just after i make another appoiment and i can't take it anymore. some people get annoyed, but i don't think is my fault,as i wait a few minutes and he doesn't let me know he will be late.
what do you girls think? how long time do you usually wait for somebody?
but you guys, how long time do you think the girl should be waitting for you? this in case you don't announce her you will be late.

If I'm going to be late, I always make contact well before the arranged time, but only if it's 10 minutes or so. If I was to be later than that, I'd ask if it was okay, or rearrange to suit the girl. Just common courtesy, really.

A time is a time if I make an anointment for say 10 am I will be there at that time and if for some reason I cant make it I will ring and say so its only good manners, sadly not every one thinks like that. I think its not fair to just leave someone in the dark and not let them know that's just my opinion

Sometimes people can be 5, maybe 10 mins late. Dunno how though. I am always on time for appointments. Always.

    hi rebeka
the client should inform you if he is running late
if he does not then no one would blame you if you assumed that he was a timewaster
it's his loss, and you should not worry about it

Don't think the girl should have to wait at all, if guys running late he should phone or text, just good manners. In my business if someones late and they don't contact me I don't do business with them, its as if their time is more important than yours.

I think it's all very simple. You make an appointment for example 8pm, if you can't make it exactly at that time as with doctors appointment etc you ring to re schedule. Maybe appointment can be made for 10mins later? I don't know I've been on time and left waiting.

I think Stella may even be a little generous with 15 mins, as it is quite long enough for us to get our act together to let us know we are delayed. As a few threads have said, it comes down to basic courtesy (note I do not say common courtesy).

If I were delayed I would ring 15 minutes before the appointed time (or as soon as I knew I was delayed) to say I am delayed. I would expect to be told that you have another appointment and that you might be available later that day; or if it is my lucky day - thanked for letting you know and that my 20 minute tardiness is fine But that's just me
