    Default Dogs - Advice please

Now I have not had the greatest or most successful history with dogs but am possibly bowing to pressure from many people to get one.

The only trouble is that I am away for 2 or sometimes 3 days a week so the dog would have to be on its own in the shed out the back.
It's a nice big shed and lovely and warm so not too bad a place to be. There's even an old mattress there already that it could use as a bed.

So the question is, what breed of dog would put up with being locked in a shed for a couple of days a week?

Thanks in advance for all contributions.

None...i dont think any dog would like to be cooped up in a shed for three days and if as you say your being pressured into getting one it sounds like you dont really want a dog in the first place ...just get a goldfish or something...

None- dogs get bored easily so it would be cruel to keep him/her alone for that long.

If you are being pressured into it then you obviously don't want it in the first place!!! Also, all dogs need at least one very big walk each day otherwise they will grow very restless and bored and end up causing damage to property or a person. Finally, a dog is a pack animal, they don't like being left by themselves for hours/days, do me a favour and please DON'T GET A DOG

None- they are a pack animal and need to be around master/mistress/family in order to be properly socialized (like some people on this forum). It will lead to behavioral problems (like some people on this forum)

Yep, all been said, dog alone for days, even if you took precautions such as automatic feeders and watering devices which can be bought the dog would go spare and eventually very contrary if let like that on a regular basis, best not go down that road..

If your away for a few days at a time it's not fair on dog you have to ask who will look after it who will bring it for a walk it won't work out .
