Default Sky... And other digital TV suppliers

So many channels... Yet there's never (or rarely) anything especially interesting on any of the extra terrestrial channels. Anything half decent is on RTÉ, BBC, and the basic channels. Course there are the odd exceptions, the movie channels for instance are good to satisfy the boredom. Least by watching them you can quickly watch every movie ever made... Well ok maybe not every movie but a good few. So... Are all these channels worth the money? Even though 99.9% of them will never be watched.

You can't bate Sky+ HD. That memory thing where you can record your favourite programmes is brilliant.

The gadgets, one of the things worth the money for Sky+. Live pause is also quite handy for when you need to strain the spuds during a match.

it all depends on what u like to watch . if its just basic u can go for a free to air system (aka once off ayment ) if u in the towns or cities u can go for chours or sky . as for the recording there is a new ox on the market that allows u to record the free to air channels and soon the rte channels

Sky+ is the only way to go, also sports in HD is brilliant.

Recently though I am watching more and more downloaded content, you can get a full series and watch it over a few days, much better. Now that you have storage media for next to nothing you can download super high quality movies / shows

RTE is surprisingly good once you watch a bit of it.

Love Sky for their HD content and the live pause and also series link.

The ease of recording programs!! Remember trying to set up the VCR....we had a Betamax at home, story of my life really
