    Question Anawering service

I am puzzled as to why escorts do not use any kind of answering service. Surely there has to be added value for E-I in running such a service.
Trying to contact escorts is a major source of agravation for clients. Equally escorts lose a lot of busines when they are not contactable. If I cannot contact an escort, it would be good to know if they were busy for an hour or away for a week.
There has to be experienced former escorts out there who could take calls when escorts are busy and help to sort out the inadequates from the genuine clients. There is also the security benefit of an escort informing the service that she has met a client and how long she will be busy for.
The service would not entertain any discussion of services/prices just inform the caller when the escort was likely to be available and offer to take a name/number, so I do not see any legal issues. With modern communications the service could be based anywhere.
The service could be used for references by recognising phone numbers of clients who had visited other escorts without incident. An escort could put numbers of difficult clients on a barred list.
Why does this not happen? What am I missing?

E-I does not involve itself with any escorts beyond offering advertising services.

I actually suspect if we ran an answering service or similar that would make our whole business possibly illegal, as it could then be called "organising and controlling prostitution" etc.

As well as what Patricia said, I make sure to speak to every client I meet personally, in order to ensure we are both happy with each other, and happy to proceed...
An answering service could well tell them that and get them to call back, but that's really nothing I can't do with my voicemail...
So I guess that most girlies like the personal contact before the meet, as I do.

In light of everything that happens on this website the idea that passing on a message that someone is busy for an hour or away for a month could lead to a conviction for controlling prostitution is somewhat bizarre.
If I see a girl that I like, or a regular girl, and their is no reply on the phone I will try elsewhere. If someone intercepts the call and tells me that the girl should have her phone on in an hour or so I will wait.
The answering service would have no part in arranging meetings. That would be done directly between escort and client as Appoline states. I would agree with the views of Alyssa and others the the escort should have confidence in a level of rapport with the client through a phone conversation prior to meeting.
I see no reason, though, why the answering service should not maintain a database of known crank callers or difficult clients and warn the escort accordingly. Equally it could have a database of "reference" clients so the escort would know that a particular prospective client had been approved by another escort. I also think that checking in regularly with the service would leave the escorts less isolated and more secure.
The answering service could be operated by anyone, not neccessarily E-I. However, my experience of escorts is that they tend to be paranoid about others stealing their clients and it would be easier for E-I to engender confidence in the service.
    Regards

    Strange but true I'm afraid.

Yeah, no one ever claimed the law relating to escorting was logical, sensible or good!
