The guards in Galway are a detestable and nasty bunch. As in the past they are trying to use their authority to intimidate people who are doing no wrong.
As Kelly says ou are doing nothing wrong by visiting an independent lady who works alone although we can all understand why you didn't go to the appointment.

The 2 guards I saw may well have been there on other business...I dunno. But even tho it is legal to visit an escort for her companionship specifically Im not so sure a zealous guard might agree. I went ahead anyway, partly cos im very stubborn and partly cos they may well have been on other business.
And the guard who visited the other girl she thinks may have come cos of a neighbour's complaint.
And myself I wouldnt visit a non-independent tho it does appear it can b hard to tell sometimes.

She is an independent to the best of my knowledge, and the warning is much appreciated, but in my limited experience there often seems to be two girls working in the one apartment, from the Gardai's point of view this might constitute a brothel.

Yeah if they is more than one it is generally refered to as a brothel and in many cases an escort in the majority of cases isgoing to have a friend with them.
