What a nightmare for the people affected. Hope they get sorted out soon.

Holy Crap thats awful. Thoughts to those affected. My flat was involved in a fire just over a year ago and I know how hard it is to lose everything you hold dear and have worked so hard for.

Yes that is awful. I also know what you mean as my parents house where I grew up caught fire days before xmas. Damage was minimal but a big loss still.. Still in the rebuilding process. You loose the material possessions, memories, etc.. you feel like someone died even though its just stuff.

Exactly. It wasn't really the loss of expensive things that hurt- they were easily replaced it was the photos and memories. Hope the people in Cork can get back to normal as soon as poss and that your parents are okay

Yes all kinds of photos and memorabilia from trips and such.. lost. I just remember my parents are safe and still here.. Stuff can be replaced.. as much as it hurt to loose it.. my parents and the house I grew up in are still here.

Very surreal though as it always happens to others.. and Im a girl that knows it can happen to me.. When I got the call.. oy scary.

I hope all in Cork make it through ok and Im thinking of them.
