    Default Blood donations

For years I have been a regular blood donor with 45 donations. I stopped giving blood nearly 2 years ago due to my night time activities. Recently I have received 3 requests asking for more donations due to me having a rare blood group.

So it's really a medical question needing answered. Can I return to blood donations ?? Or do I just ignore the requests

No smart answers please as this is a serious issue
    Thanks in advance.

I too have a very unique blood group, I was concerned but a mate of mine works for the blood bank and I quized him on procedures and basically every blood donation is thoroughly screened for STDs and other infections, my blood goup however gets extra screening so I have nothing to worry about should I pick something up, I also get myself screened privately on a fairly regular basis..

when I'm eligible again in May I must start to give blood. Once you've been somewhere with tropical climate, you have to wait 12 months. Not sure is there a malaria risk that they can't detect, but that's how long you have to wait anyway
