Thumbs up what kind of watch?

"the most precious thing is time"

what kind of watch do you have/would like to have?
i bought a plain, inexpensive watch about ten years ago.
the strap has needed replacing twice, i'm tempted to get another
    timepiece for myself.

my grandfather left me a old Omega watch when he died, since then I have bought two others and just love them. Not as flashy as other brands but fantastic timepieces.

That's class, hoping I can do the same with the Omega chronograph I got about 6 years ago. Wear it every day, and it'll no doubt still look the part in 50 years.

That said, I have a swiss army watch which I love, and if money were no object, a Philip Patek ultra thin calendar design would make its way onto my wrist for sure."You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation".

    PATEK PHILIPPE SA

However, for now a more realistic goal is to save up a few hundred euro for a session with one of the top of the list ladies...

When I turned 30 my girlfriend at the time bought me an omega seamster for my birthday.

Love watches, for going out I generally wear Raymond Weil, for work as it's a production floor I usually have a Tissot on

My 2 favourite at the moment:

Have this one on me now

For Casual wear / work this is my current fav :

Thats for sure, got my first about 10 years ago and paid IRL£1099 (€1395) for it, lost that one and decided I liked the style so I went out and bought almost the exact same one and paid €2799 for it, even with inflation that's gone up a notch..

All watches have gone up a lot over the past few years.
Bought for my wife's 40th a watch that looks very similar to mine, but has small diamonds where the numbers should be.
Eight years on(I'm a toy boy by the way), the same watch has just about doubled in price.

I'm very hard on watches, but if you go for a good one they last for years.
Mine must be 20 years old, hasnt been serviced for 10, and you would still think it was new.

Wish I could say the same about myself.

Now pens! Thats something for another thread.

    Almost identical except professional 200m

Have had it for 7 years and I think it was the most expensive completely spontaneous purchase I ever made (Duty Free on a plane over the Indian Ocean!)

I used to want a good watch and was constantly looking in jewellers' windows but as long as I have this I'll be more than content.
