That's class, hoping I can do the same with the Omega chronograph I got about 6 years ago. Wear it every day, and it'll no doubt still look the part in 50 years.

That said, I have a swiss army watch which I love, and if money were no object, a Philip Patek ultra thin calendar design would make its way onto my wrist for sure."You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation".

    PATEK PHILIPPE SA

However, for now a more realistic goal is to save up a few hundred euro for a session with one of the top of the list ladies...

i bought a plain, inexpensive watch about ten years ago.
the strap has needed replacing twice, i'm tempted to get another
    timepiece for myself.

I have about 20 watches, from inexpensive to moderately expensive.
The only ones I ever wore were the very bling ones, when I was going out, so I guess I am not into watches at all.

I just realise now it must be months since I had a watch on my wrist.

Seem to be the odd one out here, never wear a watch ever.

don't despair. not wearing a watch is common enough now
due to your mobile. in years gone by, public timepieces/clocks were
    incorporated into architecture/business premises.

like Cleary's clock or Big Ben in London.
