my grandfather left me a old Omega watch when he died, since then I have bought two others and just love them. Not as flashy as other brands but fantastic timepieces.

That's class, hoping I can do the same with the Omega chronograph I got about 6 years ago. Wear it every day, and it'll no doubt still look the part in 50 years.

That said, I have a swiss army watch which I love, and if money were no object, a Philip Patek ultra thin calendar design would make its way onto my wrist for sure."You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation".

what kind of watch do you have/would like to have?
i bought a plain, inexpensive watch about ten years ago.
the strap has needed replacing twice, i'm tempted to get another
timepiece for myself.

Have had a seiko automatic for years and no problems as yet. Have always bought seiko for some reason and probably relaibility.

with my first real wage in 1996 i bought an accurist chronograph 200m WR
have worn it pretty much since then, been on about 30 holidays, worn it swimming, in shower etc all ive needed is a few batteries, mind you the 'gold' is wearing thin in a few places! lol

I have about 20 watches, from inexpensive to moderately expensive.
The only ones I ever wore were the very bling ones, when I was going out, so I guess I am not into watches at all.

Always know what time it is. Always been like that, was given an Omega classic as a present 25yrs ago, wore it for about a week.(Before mobile phones !)
