Thread: girls write letters

  1. Default girls write letters

The clients arguments against this laws will easily be pushed assisde as just "been perverted" or us been accused of supporting the "exploration of women"
The opinions of escorts may not be as easily dismissed (but may be ignored) I advise all escorts concerned about this law to write letters stating your concerns over the law (quote various sources) your fears over it and most importantly that you are not controlled trafficked or other wise forced into prostitution. State alternatives to it and what you would like to done. Also state that you are willing to pay tax.

I advise you to write to Ruhama/TOTRL, news papers, directly to journalists and also TDs

I would recommend you to use your real name esp when dealing with TDs and give contact details (email) for them to get back

We have two moths to fight this, then its over

Thanks Lucy. I really think the girls need a say against this. The "Turn off the Red Light" people are incredibly patronizing . They essentially say that no woman can actually choose to be an escort of her own free will! (Bollocks if you ask me).

Of course us clients need to make a stand but can't do so as clients. The Hobbyist has made some good points about how us clients can write in (but not as clients - or whatever we say will fall on deaf ears). See the thread started by Pat " welcome to the Turn Off The Bule Light Forum" for the Hobbyist views which can also be used in your reply.

It would be good if we had a statement to add to the blog from you the clients. Is it possible for one or two of you to give us one with your thoughts on the criminalisation of the purchase of sex and your impressions of what the new law will do to the industry?

A big thank you to Violette for all her hard work. It looks brill so far

I would urge you to be careful about anything that is put into the public domain. Even the most well crafted words can be twisted. I would be willing to take a look & I am very familiar with the perspective of someone who opposes prostitution. You are not going to change the outcome of the election & any law will takes months/years to implement. It is critical that you take time & say the right thing rather than being rushed into mistakes. Remember that your opponents will be well practised & ready to seize on to any scraps that you give them.
