    It's a matter of perspective really... for most people on the boards, I suppose it would be considering that most people can't speak it.

    Yes that doesn't take away the fact that we are Irish and have are own language.

    Gaelic is a wonderful language, but many people don't have knowledge
    of the language. English would allow for wider communication, because of this.

    I think you worded that wrong Sam, even if an Irish person doesn't speak Irish it doesn't make it a foreign language to them, it's still our own language..

    PS. I know you were speaking in general but an Irish person could be sensitive about your wording
