Default How many Irishmen in Dublin?

The reason I ask is that since teatime last night all I have heard is the bloody "La Marseillaise" being belted out by different groups of Frenchies.

Come on guys I don't mind being kept awake by loads of men (that in itself is not a bad thing ) but lets hear a few of you belting out the Irish national anthem (Amhran na bhFiann I think)

Well, some people may be put off by the line "Sinne Fianna Fáil" (Yes I know it's not English; please don't give me another infraction for that), even though it's not a reference to the political party. But, and I know I'm going to be crucified for saying this, la Marseillaise is really a better song, as long as you don't listen carefully to the lyrics.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

FFS Gordo I wasnt trying to make a political statement I was just my atempt at a bit of light hearted banter. I admit I didnt have a clue what the Irish anthem was I had to google it.

If any of the Irish speakers on EI are offended I am sorry that wasnt my intent. Its bitching like this that makes me wonder if its worth posting on here any more but if I do post again Gordo do me a favour just fucking ignore me.

I doubt anyone was offended. I certainly wasn't. I was just trying to answer your question.
