Sorry rant over it just pissed me off reading that.

Sorry that you've been so disappointed!
I wouldn't wish anyone to have been on that flight, but then that's just me.

Any chance of a link to where he's quoted as saying that?

He's a clever cnut so I'd be surprised if those were his exact words....

I would doubt that those were his exact words, I think the paper may have embellished a little. I think what he said was that he was due to be booked on that flight but due to a changes in circumstances he wasn't and how easy it is for anyone of us to be involved in a tradgedy like this and how grateful we should be to be alive.

I cant find a link online but the quote appears on page five of The Mail and front page of The Sun, the exact quote in both is "Martin McGuinness told how he nearly took the death flight from Belfast"

Could be newspaper speak but seems strange both papers carry the same line.

Yes but that is what the newspapers are using as a headline it is not a direct quote, the way tabloids sensationalise is apalling they twist and put the worst possible spin on peoples comments. They are the lowest type
of filth and garbage, I really think i would give up reading before i would buy a tabloid newspaper. For instance look at
the stroke the mail tried to pull last sunday, but hopefully they are in trouble for it
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed
    but
    Vincent Browne is a Hero
