    After all that, it appears the only change is Heaslip in for Leamy, with (predictably) O'Brien moving to 6.

    That seems a reasonable change, but I am disappointed that Reddan is not starting.

    Although there is a strong argument for starting with Trimble, we need to test McFadden at this level with one eye on the World Cup.

    Im quietly optimistic about sunday ,or am i looking at it with green tinted glasses????...hey we cant misfire as badly again and italy do have a vey good pack and are always very strong at home on their first game ,sadly they wilt badly as the tournament progresses

    I think I am veering the other direction as regards optimism.

    We have had a long run now with some very indifferent displays. The displays of the provinces this year raise some questions about displays at the national level.

    But I hope I am proved wrong
