Unfortunately the reality is we are going to get a new government but not because the new one are better or deserve to get it for that matter but because FF are so bad they are the default second option, people will vote FG and the others not because they want to but because they don't want to vote FF...

U are correct, i have a fair intrest in politics and the problem is the alternatives are frightening, have been watching closely the
guys that are supposed to be the alternative, this left alliance like Richard Boyd Barrett(people before profit) have such a lack
of understanding of the economic realities its frightening, they have pie in the sky policies that just dont add up, Gerry Adams
is just totally clueless as regards the economic situation, Joe Higgins theory is get rid of IMF and burn bond holders and then
when we run out of cash in 12 months he thinks the bond markets will lend to us , well id say a better chance if u bought a lottery
ticket, id say result anarchy when we go to ATM and nothing there. Then Fine Gael were left red faced yesterday when it was
pointed out to them that the ratio betwen tax increases and cutbacks that they were promoting was not in actual fact the figures
they were really using. Another big problem is if we get a coalition of labour and fine gael they will be relatively equal in strenght
and their policys are poles apart so we will have a real power struggle between them and will prob end up with a watered down
version of policys that bear l;ittle resemblence to eithers policys of the moment
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed
    but

I dont think people realize yet how much worse it is gonna become I mean we're gonna default on the IMF loan growth rates were revised downwards for the economy yesterday from 2% to -1.5% we cant afford the 85Billion loan we'll incur penalties just my opinion Gosh I wish I was in a position to leave this country..

Yes i have to agree, i think we will have a form of social chaos, wait till the 12 months breathing space ends that the banks
have to give before they start reposession orders on houses, couple that with intrest rate increases and their will be an avalanche.
I really do believe this will get much worse before it gets better, because alot of people had bits of saving help from
parents, friends etc but soon those options will have dried up and they will have no where else to turn
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

We only have ourselves to blame for this mess........for three general elections in a row sufficient people voted for those who represented the most base get rich quick mentality and spun it out as the celtic economic miracle, so that they were able to implement their Galway-tent economic policies. The left, the hard left and the left overs of the armed struggle are unfortunately no longer the loony fringe of Irish politics........they're combined strenght equals that of FG and FF. Then we have the Laurel and Hardy of Irish politics.........Michael Lowry and Jackie Healy Rae. A horror novelist could'nt invent this shit.

Tis as well that Messers Chopra, Barroso, and yer man from Finland with the funny accent are now in charge of our macro economic affairs.
