I have a electric motorbike - total crap.
Does about 10 miles properly, then another 10 miles just about, struggles about another 10, and then several hours to recharge.

sounds like me in bed, only sub the miles for minutes

True, but they don't do my car in a diesel and I would hate to change it.

Based on my experience, diesels are not considerably better than petrols. (About 20%)
The only advantage is I can reclaim the Vat on diesel.

I hate diesel except in a 4x4, horrible noise, smelly, vibration. Petrol for me, sorry to see it's demise.

For me locally it's €1.44 ish per litre.
What are you paying for petrol ?
And can anyone explain how you get the cheaper petrol price in the Applegreen stations ???
Well played Dave! I thought you were going to open the 'proverbial can of worms' again! You certainly had me checking out the thread instantly!

As for petrol prices......I think I'm going to have to start cycling.

It's a scam, you have to buy a car wash at extortionist prices in order to get the lower fuel rate, so basically you pay €7-€9 for a bad car wash in order to get €3 of the cost of an average full fill...

In my part of the country price varies from 1.42 to 1.45 per litre.
You can only get a cheaper price at the Applegreen stations when you pay for a car wash.
    The Truth is out there.
