    Default Scarce

It looks like within the next 10 yrs petrol cars will get scarce on our roads, 5 yrs ago
only 20% new cars bought were diesel ,now it is roughly 70% so give that a few years
to filter through the second hand market and we will have a predominately diesel fleet
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

True indeed, if they can increase the range of electric cars they could become viable.

I'm lovin the look of the Tesla.

I don't think I'll be rushing out any time soon.
I have a electric motorbike - total crap.
Does about 10 miles properly, then another 10 miles just about, struggles about another 10, and then several hours to recharge.

Range isn't good enough, and there really isn't any quick way to fill up.
    We are not there yet.

I do think that Tesla are getting there, it makes pretty interesting reading.
Range of 480km and a charge time of 45 mins !
Not sure though long term how batteries would perform.

And the price, and it's a Lotus Elise (tiny).
Once had a Lotus Elise - bloody tiny.

Nah, best to stick with a real car.
Only a toy - I agree with you an interesting toy, but still for the mo a toy

And why is it geographically cheaper in some areas ? I find it to be cheaper in Kerry/Cork why is this ?

For me locally it's €1.44 ish per litre.
What are you paying for petrol ?
And can anyone explain how you get the cheaper petrol price in the Applegreen stations ???
In my opinion diesel is more cheaper then petrol and is better value full up your tank can drive for nearly 2 weeks, petrol maybe 1 week?
