Well, I think you're giving out the wrong message here, Danny. Just because we are paid to be 'professional' as you see it doesn't give people the right to give abuse to mods/managers.

You know, we try so hard to be impartial, and unlike yourself here, we have no 'favourites'; we try to be consistent in all decisions but it's usually a public debate that blurs the real essence of why we make a particular decision. If a threat about not posting isn't a threat, then what is the purpose of it?

You have to understand that there is a HELL of a lot more going behind the scenes in many situations, so saying that the management have made two 'wrong' decisions is not very accurate. There are occasions when we feel immediate action should be taken in order to temporarily put it on hold until we can discuss the matter with the rest of the management/moderators. I find that people are treating the night managers/moderators as 'sitting ducks' to coin a phrase; they have to make a difficult decision without counsel from their peers (so that we are being impartial) and things end up being blown out of proportion. We make ourselves available to help escorts and posters with their queries and problems, and people think this is a great opportunity to try and wind people up. Such a shame, really! You state that without posters, there would be no site? Without our customer service and the fact we give both advertising and non-advertising escorts access to things like the Ugly Mugs on top of us being here as human beings to try and help people here, this site wouldn't be where it is today either. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't just about making money; it's about giving a shit!

I do have my favourites yes. I stick by my friends and support them when they are wronged. In this case would Shirley be back if her friends had not supported her or would she still be banned? I stand by my opinion that Doozer does have those he likes and dislikes and acts sometimes on this premise. Deciding not to post is a protest not a threat!

I realise that alot goes on behind the scenes and that alot ofgood work is done by mods and managers for the benefit of posters and escorts. I have often found them very helpful to deal with. I never said if there are no posters there would be no site! Who use the Mods as sitting ducks and who takes it as an oppertunity to wind people up? If this is true take action against thaem and not vague statements please!

i think you have some of this backwards.
i think its whats going on behind the secens as you put it is whats causing most problems.
if things were done in an open and clear fashon it would solve a lot of the problems that as far as i can see are caused by certin mods with their own agenda.
