Thread: To Rat, Remove or Reward?

Default To Rat, Remove or Reward?

I have enjoyed my time here on Escort Ireland. There are many interesting people and many good points to the website that, overall, make it the market leader.

In all escorting/punting boards you will have linked reports in general. Some of these are good reports, posted neutrally and moderated sharply. Some are not. In my experience the traffic, and consequently the clientele, will go toward the sites with the most up to date and comprehensive reviews. So far, so good. However, what makes Escort Ireland unique is that it allows fake/suspect reviews but attaches a symbol of a rat to them. This is sometimes followed by an explanation, but mostly not. However these reviews and rats stay on profiles, even when blatantly fake. In a manner of speaking, they are rewarded by publicity.

I am aware the job is hard and that things have to be proven, but in the meantime livelihoods are damaged and fraudulent activities are encouraged, because in the time it takes to prove this ten or more reviews are going up...which means two or more escorts daily are being tainted by another escorts need for quick money. Unfortunately the ratted reviews remain when the greedy ladies leave, and the good escorts are left with a blemish they don't need. Is this fair?

I think what I am asking is who thinks it would be better to remove these suspect reviews completely? There is no reward in no publicity. Nothing to be gained. Because I am starting to think that the occasional rat is no real problem to the determined.

    What do you think?

To be honest Ms Chambers the removal of reviews/rats seems to be a touchy subject . My own opinion is that ratted negative reviews should be removed but as for ratted positive ones , i think they should stay . I dont buy in to fact that people leave fake positive reviews to discredit the lady when they are discovered .

Yes, I kind of agree. Or a statement added to the profile saying the escort was found to be manipulating reviews, because my thought is many guys just see the number of reviews by a name and call. If your review count increases..

Most ratted reviews are positive. The problem is that usually the escort is responsible, but there is almost never any proof.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

There seems to be a discrepancy here concerning the impact of fake Positive reviews. Several people have mentioned that a person could write fake positive reviews to undermine the credibility of a particular escort. I'm sure this has happened, yet most of the instances of fake positives are when the escort themself or someone affiliated writes them. This suggests to me that they do have a good impact on business otherwise why would people still do it.

    As for deleting them..
For fake Negative reviews i think they should be removed, no question. If EI deems them to be bogus then the escort shouldnt have to keep a big RED button in their reviews. Even with an explanation attached it still might raise doubts so yeah, they should be deleted. I remember a few months ago there was an instance where a reviewer admitted to having written a fake malicious review, yet instead of the review being deleted it remains with a note attached.. this makes no sense to me.

For fake Positive reviews I strongly believe they should stay. The whole point of the reviews is to give potential clients as much information as possible. An escort with several fake glowing reviews in a way tells its own story. Perhaps if it was discovered that these were written maliciously by another person attempting to undermine the escort's credibility, the reviews could be removed but that would be nigh-on impossible to prove in most cases.

Also, if you start deleting every single fake positive review discovered, it means that dishonest escorts writing their own reviews would essentially be freerolling the system. Say they write 10 reviews for themself, 6 get ratted & therefore deleted, they still have 4 positives remaining... so essentially they can't lose.

But we know there is. I was taught that your handwriting is your finger print. I have found this to be true of syntax. You will make the same mistake but it is unique to you, as I have said many times. Ask the FBI. We need a new review system, because this is not working. Are there too few review mods?

Removing the one or two fake reviews a day would impinge on 1 percent of traffic. Hardly a website in distress. It would also perhaps stop customers taking their business elsewhere if they don't feel they can trust the reviews. You are only as good as your product.

If the reviews mods were infallible then removing ratted reviews would obviously be the correct thing to do.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”

And in your mind what represents infallible? There has to be a problem when we are so in doubt that we must watch this, surely?
