    There is no problem with cosmetic surgery, dental check ups and generally looking after yourself, as long as it's done in moderation.

    All life carries a risk, whether that be, physical, mental or emotionally.
    Unless we live in a cocoon, we must accept life comes with certain risks.
    It is only by taking calculated risks that we can experience life to the full.

    Was listening to Newstalk earlier and they had some guy on and he happened to mention that before the 20th century the average person was more likely to die if they DID vist their doctor as opposed to sitting at home and doing nothing.

    That may be a bit of an exteme response nicegirlsarenice. I am biased in this regard, but your point is taken, I think moderation is the key. Avoid uneccessary surgery.

    My sentiments exactly Mark. Life is one long calculated risk. The key is being well informed so that we can make choices having weighed up the risk-benefits.
