Any particular reason on picking those languages ?

I'd love to learn Russian, tried it before, but very hard as it seems to be two languages in one plus you need to learn a whole different alphabet. Why Russian? Had plans to defect to Russia before the Wall came down, boy was I mad

I have made a lot of Lithuanian and Latvian friends and I just feel Russian is a pretty useful language to have to converse with them as it is the language they speak to each other in and especially now that the world is becoming a lot smaller place, with Spanish again you can communicate with a lot of different nationalities.
