No, I only wake up in the morning like that (which is pretty normal). But then again, I never wake at night, so can't help you there.

However, apparently its quite normal for men to get erections during 'REM' sleep. This is the deepest phase of sleep and so we are usually blissfully unaware of it. You must have woken up straight out of REM sleep.

If i'm after having hard sex and came a couple of times that day I find when I get an erection for the third or fourth time it can be sore so yes I would wake up under those circumstances only because he would be throbbing

P.S. How long does the erection last. If it's for hours thats a medical problem called a priapism and needs to be sorted. However, if it subsides as per normal, than I wouldn't worry about it.

they generally dont last long, but a few nights ago i woke up and i was just so tired i just had to try and go asleep anyway i got small bit of sleep and woke up hard then got dressed went outside and it went away
