I'm always amused when I see sarcasm about pasting pieces..( particularly when the you're too lazy to read the source is cited in first five words!?) it's kind of like when the guards pull you over for (say) drink driving & they cite the law- do you ask them if they wrote the regulations?
I love cut and paste. I often read them, usually look further and then get bored. Because it is someone elses view on something. I am more interested in yours.

Seriously, my eyes glazed over before I got to the fifth word. I hate the lingo that is used in pieces like this. Lots of ologies and isms and god knows what else which serve only one function which is to try and make some rather banal and pretty self evident conclusion seem to be based on hard science.

By the way I was not being sarcastic, I was genuinely confused and the second line was an afterthought which was meant to be funny rather than sarcastic.

Sarcasm is the lowers form of wit afterall.

This makes sense to me. If you have lived with another person for a long time you can become like brother and sister, or mother and son etc etc, whatever the dynamics are endless. The point is you do not make love to you mother, father, son etc. To be lovers you have to treat each other like lovers. That means making the other person feel loved and DESIRABLE. Like having weekends away, no children around, buying special presents for each other. Making yourself look nice for your partner and telling each other that you love each other, special touches like you did when you first met. It is not rocket science!

I wouldn't know ... I haven't reached that ripe old age yet ! I'm still excited by the thrill of going to see an older woman. But not too old !

This is all a bit depressing? Is there any hope to maintain a sex life in marriage then?

Or are we all (men that is) doomed to lusting after 18 year old girls!

As someone who has never been married, this doesn't really sell marriage to me!

Lacking in this effort has been a critical mass of qualitative research that asks women to report on their causal attributions for low desire. In this study, the authors conducted open-ended interviews with 19 married women who had lost desire in their marriage and asked what causal attributions they made for their loss of sexual desire and what barriers they perceived to be blocking its reinstatement. Three core themes emerged from the data, all of which represented forces dragging down on sexual desire in the present sample: (a) institutionalization of the relationship, (b) over-familiarity, and (c) the de-sexualization of roles in these relationships. Interpersonal and intrapersonal sexual dynamics featured more prominently than did relationship problems in women's attributions. The authors discuss the results in terms of clinical implications in the psychosocial component of treatment for hypoactive sexual desire disorder.

And they say it's only men who like variety?? I heard it's from the ingredients in the wedding cake.
Just a humble answer, but when I was a young fella, without wishing to sound full of myself, I was quite good loking, but now in my senior years, I've turned into an ugly old cunt, hence, I cannot turn my lovely wife on antmore, so what the hell, go out and get a dreamy escot.

Is it not strange, younger men going for older women,
while older men going for younger ladies?

We must have got mixed up somewhere along the way!
